As excitement builds in anticipation of the forthcoming Royal Wedding of His Majesty the King to the Royal Bride Jetsun Pema, many citizens maybe keen to embrace such a joyous occasion by not being mere spectators but engaged citizens expressing their happiness. To enable such a platform for citizens across the country to take part, the Bhutanese media community is planning a series of opportunities where citizens can participate which includes the Royal Wedding Book of Congratulations and an activity that will involve couples and families to rededicate themselves to their loved ones as their gift to the Royal Couple.
In the Royal Wedding Book of Congratulations, messages are being compiled from citizens across the country through print, audio and visual in different languages and dialects. Messages are also being collected in the form of art, poems and loezey on the theme, My King and My Queen. These messages will be presented in a uniquely published book as a token of the people’s symbolic gift.
